24-year-old Washington Nationals' catcher Wilson Ramos hit his third HR of the year off Cincinnati Reds' right-hander Mat Latos in the fifth inning of tonight's game, tying it up at 1-1 before Danny Espinosa hit his second HR in two days in the sixth to give the Nationals a 2-1 lead in the second of three games for the Nats in Great American Ballpark. Nats' right-hander Jordan Zimmermann, who'd abused Reds' third baseman Todd Frazier with sliders all night, threw another one to the the 26-year-old Reds' infielder in the first at bat of the seventh and Frazier finally got a hold of one, singling to right to start the home-half of the frame. With Ryan Ludwick up in the next at bat, Zimmermann threw a low 1-2 fastball in the dirt that got by Nats' catcher Wilson Ramos. Frazier broke for second, Ramos jumped up to chase it and tried to plant to make a throw from the grass behind home, only to have his right knee buckle on him. Ramos went down in obvious pain and had to be helped off the field. The catcher wasn't putting any pressure on his right leg as he made his way to the dugout with assistance...
Jesus Flores is in the game. It's 2-1 Nats after seven.
